We are a leading manufacturer of electric motors for the global industrial market. Our products are used in every industrial activity and are sold chiefly to OEMs - notably manufacturers of fans, pumps and compressors, mechanical handling and process machinery. Sales are also made directly to users.

We have manufacturing facilities in five countries and sales and servicing outlets in a further fifteen, backed by a network of distributors Brook Crompton provide strong customer support.

Brook Crompton is part of the Lindeteves-Jacoberg Group, which also includes German manufacturer Schorch and Australia's Western Electric.

Innovation

Energy Efficiency
Brook Crompton has received many accolades for its energy saving 'W' electric motors, including the Queen's Award for Environmental Achievement 1996 and 'W' was selected as a Millennium product by the Design Council of Great Britain in 1998. 'W' is a truly global product benchmarked against the world's best and manufactured to a high specification

Electric motors are the driving force behind all modern industry and hence consume vast amounts of energy - around 50% of the electricity generated by power stations is consumed by electric motors. Brook Crompton's standard motor range, called 'W', is up to 3% more efficient than other standard motors, resulting in a lower demand for energy and, therefore, cost savings for users.

Variable speed motors
Our Variable Speed 'W' (integrated motor and inverter), combines an efficient, highly adaptable 'W' motor with a purpose designed frequency inverter. This combination together with the innovative design which incorporates the inverter into the terminal box, results in a very compact, efficient and reliable variable speed motor. It is simple to install and fits in the same space as a conventional motor, therefore can be retrofitted to an existing piece of equipment.

To keep at the forefront of technology and product development, Brook Crompton uses the latest design techniques including finite element analysis, thermal modelling, aerodynamic analysis, sophisticated design models together with extensive test resources. We also work closely with several university research departments.
